Terms of service
Last updated 20 October 2026
Alquas is a free browser game. These terms are the rules for playing it. By playing you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not play. What we keep about you is on the privacy page.
Who we are
Alquas is made by the Alquas Team, run by an independent developer in British Columbia, Canada ("we", "us"). Write to privacy@alquas.com about anything on this page, and to support@alquas.com for help with the game.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
Your account
- You can play without signing up: the first time you play online we make a guest account under the name you chose. A guest account lives in this browser. Clearing the site's data, or not playing for 180 days, loses it. Link Discord to keep your account on any device.
- An account is for one person. Keep it to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with it.
- Do not sell, rent, buy or share accounts.
- You can delete your account at any time: Account → Delete account.
Names
Your name and tag are public. Pick one that does not:
- insult, threaten or harass anyone, or attack people for their race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality;
- contain slurs or sexual content, including spelled with look-alike letters or numbers;
- pretend to be another player, a streamer, the Alquas Team or Discord;
- contain personal information (yours or anyone's), links or advertising.
Any player can report a name. We may replace a name that breaks these rules. Names on the Contributors list follow them too: we review each one before it shows, and one that breaks them stays hidden.
Playing fair
Do not:
- use cheats, aim assistance, macros, scripts that play for you, or a changed copy of the game to get an advantage;
- exploit a bug on purpose to win, end a match or hurt other players (tell us about it instead);
- throw matches, trade wins, or let someone else play your account to change your record;
- abuse matchmaking, for example by leaving or declining over and over to avoid players;
- attack our servers, flood them with requests, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- harass or threaten players, in the game, through invites and friend requests, or anywhere else using what you learned in the game.
What we can do about it
If an account breaks these terms we can warn it, change its name, remove its match results, or ban it from online play for a time or for good. A ban follows the Discord account linked to it. We may act without a warning in serious cases. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and a person will look at it.
The game changes
Alquas is in alpha and in active development. We change spells, numbers, maps and modes, and add or remove features, sometimes without notice. Online play needs our servers, which can be down at times. If we ever close Alquas, we will say so in the game at least 30 days before.
What is ours, and what you may do with it
- The game, its name, art, sounds and code belong to the Alquas Team. Open source parts stay under their own licenses, listed in the licenses list.
- You may stream, record, screenshot and post videos of Alquas, and earn money from them, without asking us. Please do not present them as official or made by us.
- Do not copy, resell or host the game yourself, or reuse its art, sounds or code, without our written permission.
- Want to make music, art or wardrobe parts for Alquas? Write to us. Before we put your work in the game, we agree with you in writing on payment or other compensation, how we may use it, and how we credit you.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Discord
If you sign in with Discord or play Alquas in Discord, Discord's own terms and privacy policy apply to your use of Discord. Alquas is not made by Discord, and Discord is not responsible for it.
No guarantees
Alquas is free and provided as it is: we do not promise it will always work, be free of bugs, or keep your progress. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to 50 Canadian dollars. Nothing here takes away a right that consumer law where you live does not let us take away.
Ending
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. What these terms say about ownership, liability and the law still applies after an account is closed.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Please write to us first: most problems can be sorted out by email. Otherwise disputes go to the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live lets you bring them closer to home.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. A change that affects how you play is announced in the game before it applies; playing after that means you accept it.
